I did this post as soon as we got back from utah but have had a rough time lately and didn't feel up to doing the "final touches" due to this...
I miss him so much Im sick. It's a tough tough time of year.
You don't even know how much I miss holding that sweet little hand.

Christmas Break
Saturday December 21st
Our flight left at bright and early... 6am on Saturday. So we stayed at the airport Hotel Friday night. Although, we still had to wake the kids at 4:30am to make the shuttle!
Tired boy. Both he and Isabel slept the entire flight.
Bundled up and waiting for Pop Pop.
We got to the Hansen house, had a yummy breakfast and got so say hi and goodbye to Dustin and Sarai who were headed to Oregon to spend Christmas with her family.
Isaac was SOOOO excited to play in the snow. Zachy-Boy was more than willing to oblige!
"Snowball Fiiiiiiiight!" I love his little tongue sticking out. And the ninja headband is pretty awesome too.
His smile makes me happy!
Getting Daddy!
Isabel and Great Grandma Leona having a heart to heart!
Pop-Pop took Isaac for a good 'ol fashion sleigh ride!
And he was all smiles!
"Hooray!"

HANSEN Party
Eric's Dad's side of the family had their party Sunday night in Logan. So after my moms Christmas party we loaded the kids up headed north.... We hadn't seen the Hansen side in awhile so it was fun to catch up and visit.
Beautiful picture taken by Vivian
Isaac adored Vivian and stayed right by her side.
He also tried to convince everyone to eat his Chip and Ice cream dip concoction!
Zachy-Boy trying to pretend he doesn't like holding Isabel.
Grandma Becky
Grandpa Lance had a very fun program and had us laughing!
Singing, "Jimmy Boker"
Santa made a visit and Isaac gave us all a laugh. He did NOT want to sit on Santa's lap but went almost all the way around him to check him out...
Grandpa convinced him to get a little closer...
And he finally sat on his lap... barely! Notice him trying to get away!
Zach is such a stinker and hates to be in pictures. If he is in pictures he makes a goofy face. I was able to sneak this picture in. We sure love Zachy-Boy. He is so good with the nieces and nephews.
Isabel's turn to meet Santa
Hangin' with cousins.
Beanies made by Great Aunt Gloria
MONDAY DEC. 23rd
Nothin' like pretzels and hummus for breakfast!
ROMERA Party...
He took all the decorative candles down to build a tower!
Charlie and Isaac showing off their awesome superhero socks from Auntie Jen
He was still pretty "iffy" about getting close to Santa
But he really wanted the present so he braved it and sat on his lap!
"Attaaaaack!"
Grandpa and Grandma Romera and Grandkids
And this is what little Miss thang did: smiled, cooed, and looked cute!
Isaac was too busy playing to be bothered with a picture.
CHRISTMAS EVE
Pop-Pop getting smiles from Isabel.
Love the, "I just woke up rosy cheeks."
...SLEDDING...
He had SO MUCH FUN. And would say, "Again! Again!"
Atticus is always on my mind. Always... Tender time of year.

Uncle Brett getting use to holding a baby girl, cause a GIRL is coming their way in May!!!!
The first time our family did a live nativity and it was the most tender thing in the whole wide world. The kids were so sweet and did such a good job. Thank you Aunt Marsha. Let's do that every year!!
Isabel was baby Jesus and didn't make a peep.
Isaac went looking for his sheep.
And decided that Grandma Becky would do!!
The annual CANDY BAR game. It is crazy wild fun with big prizes in the mix.
Isaac had a moment:) Its not a party without tears right?!
Isabel slept through all the noise. Her cute james were given to her by Sasha.
CHRISTMAS EVE jams
Basket ball shorts 3 sizes too big (could not find smaller ones) and awesome shark slippers. He was struttin' his stuff!

Santa brought Isaac his very own castle and sword to attack the dragon!
Super happy about his "lips" aka chapstick Santa put in his stocking.
Putting his "lips" to use!
He was so excited and gave the best reactions! Lot's of Yays and Whoo-hoo's
Isabel got a few things too! Like onesies and socks. Super exciting.
Grandma and Grandpa made Isaac his very own treasure chest!
It was a BIG hit. Becky was so creative with it. She got a big 2wk medicine container and cover the days initial with stickers and in each space was a mini dinosaur or car. Isaac would open each one and say, "Wow! A dinosaur. I love dinosaurs." and "Wow, this is my favorite car!"
In the treasure chest was also his very own wallet!
A knight set from Isabel
It was time for nap and the little stinker took some of his treasures and hid in the corner!
Thursday Dec. 26th
Kissy lips!
SUPERMAN x2
When Stacie saw the boys walk up she said, "This is a tender moment" and teared up. We both did. We both instantly thought of this picture.... December 2010
It's so surreal.
Friday Dec. 27th
Sister day. With Isabel of course.
Sister day. With Isabel of course.
Nordstom Cafe for lunch (their Asian Chicken Salad is SO good)
Then Pedi's
She just smiled and cooed while my toes were getting done!
Isaac turned "scary!"
Isabel is constantly sucking her thumb so I have to leave her little arm out of her snowsuit go keep her happy!
December 29th
Isabel's Blessing Day!
Bow and shoes were from Grandma Lori and the sweet little bracelet was made by Auntie Stacie!
I got a little teary while dressing her. She looked so beautiful. I love her so much.
The proud momma and beautiful little girl.
Eric gave her a beautiful blessing and in it mentioned how much joy she has brought, and will continue to bring our family. He prayed the veil of Heaven would be thin to feel the presence of her older brother Atticus, who passed on before her... It was very touching. I sure love my husband and the three beautiful children we have together.
The after blessing luncheon...
Love Isaacs smile! Isabel was such a sweet heart and was very ready for a nap but put up with us all wanting pictures with her!
Awesome-ness
December 30th
Back home to Texas. Both the kids were exhausted and Isaac was sick, again, and slept the entire flight. Eric and I caught a little shut eye too! It was a miracle that we made it back... 4 checked suitcases, 2 carry-on's and I only had to ship one box!!
Just hangin' at home while mommy unpacks...
She had slept 13 STRAIGHT hours that night!!!
She is seriously the sweetest thing. She "talks" all the time. Loves to be held facing out. Has started blowing "raspberries." Why is it called that anyway? And is all smiles all the time.
THANK YOU friends and family for sending us Christmas cards!!
Happy New Year.

Your family are touching the lives of so many people from all over the world! I can only begin to fathom your heartache! My heart aches for you.
Our little boy has battled cancer for 4 years and the sheer thought of him not being with us, is all I can handle!
God bless you and comfort you until the day you are reunited with sweet Atticus. We have shared many laughs and many tears with you and your family. Atticus is never far from our minds or prayers.

I have been reading your blog since atticus first was diagnosed. I cant even believe it has been 2 years. Your pictures are so beautiful, isabel is cuter than ever! What you wrote at the beginning , how there is no word for a parent who has lost a child is so true! I am not in your shoes, but i wish i could take that pain away as a mother myself and bring your sweet atticus back to you and your family! What i always think of when i read your blog is how after atticus passing, how much people who dont even know you like myself still care and are very " invested" in your feelings and family. You and your husband are some amazing amazing people! Truly!!! It is a testament to your character that you are loved by so many. I know a couple that has lost their child, and they have all nut disappeared. It shows what good people you both are that even after your sweet son has passed on ,people , all of us , still want to help and pray for your family. Sorry for the long post! I just think you are such an amazing example of true genuine people i wish i had another word other than amazing.. Rare finds both of you are:-) God bless
Oh my heart breaks for you....I have never met you, just know you through your blog but actually commented to my husband that I I was worried about you since Christmas day was your last post. I can't even imagine your loneliness even while being surrounded by such a wonderful, loving family. No one will ever fill Atticus's spot but you know that. I am glad that you wrote again & shared everything with us. I hope it helps with your healing. Thank you for sharing all the good & bad & know that I am praying for you & your entire family & love that we all have our special angels on earth. Blessings & Prayers~ Karen
