80 to 20

Good morning to two cute cuddle bugs!

As previously mentioned, we have been potty training Isaac and between that and him getting over pneumonia we had been on house arrest, and anxious to brave our first outing in big boy underwear! So after a few cute pictures...

Yes my friends, that "pirate patch" is a breast pad! It's awesome.

… We went to the part. It got in to the low 80's last Wednesday, December 4th. He did GREAT! Im really proud of him.

Isaac is Potty Trained!!!

A cold front came Wednesday night which made Thursday morning cold. Even for a Utah girl it was chilly...

The boys looked pretty cute all bundled up!

The day kept getting colder and colder and COLDER and by 

Friday morning, the freezing rain came. 

Wednesday it was 80. Friday it was 20!

 It was CRAAAAAZY. 

 Freezing 20 degree ice covered our house, windows, trees, grass and streets.

Our poor trees and plants were very sad and droopy. Thankfully they recovered well. Even this ugly plant/tree Eric and despise...

Power lines were getting knocked down left and right leaving a lot of families without power for 3-4 days. The Qualls being one of them. I got a text around 10 am Friday from Jocelyn asking if they could keep warm at our place! So we spent the weekend warm and cozy with some good friends. They stayed Friday and Saturday night. And went to her parents Sunday morning. The boys loved waking up to each other! 

We made Christmas cookies….

Isaac ate all of the ones he decorated!

And used a ridiculous amount of sprinkles.

Peter ate a ridiculous amount of frosting!

And Noah did a ridiculously great job!

The boys were getting a little stir crazy so we decided to bundle up and take some of the cookies around the neighborhood! Isaac had a ball. He LOVED being outside and wanted to be the one to hand over the cookies.

Even though all we got was ice, he had a snowball fight...

...and LOVED it!

He was very concerned that I didn't have a hat so I put my scarf over my head! Thanks Tiff F. for the super cute scarf!

Saturday Dec. 7th

That afternoon we bundled up and ran a couple errands.

 I love this chubby cheeked boy!

This is what Walmart's bread isle looked like! Eric made me laugh when he said, "Im sure glad everyone stocked up on bread for the ice storm. Ya know, since is one of the most perishable items!" Hehehe!!

Isaac isn't fighting me as bad about wearing pants since it has gotten cold, but still want's his "cool" shorts when we are inside. And he's picky about his "cool" shorts. They can no longer be the navy ones. The are off the cool list. They have to be the royal blue ones. Picky Picky!

 Im totally going to boast.... I have some dang cute kiddos!

Saturday night we went to a really fun White Elephant/Ugly Sweater Christmas party. Im proud to announce that BOTH Eric and I won! Go us!!

Sunday Dec. 8th

This cute little boy gave Eric and I a chuckle on the way home from church. He loves his longs socks, and has to roll up his pants so he can see them! He's always so tired after church and crashes after about 2 mins in the car.

That night we went to the Grady's for some hot cocoa and fun!

Leslie heard giggling and found these two hiding with a stolen bag of marshmallows!

When did he get so big?!?!?!?

Isabel is seriously SUCH a good baby. So chill and go with the flow. I love her.

Isaac and Collin have so much fun together. They love to jump from the bed to the love sack. They're both getting so big. Collin will be 3 next week. He and Atticus share the same birthday, December 17th!

Monda Dec. 9th

He got into his keepsake box and found the hat to his "Stay Puff Marshmallow" Halloween costume from 2 years ago.  That hat plus batman underwear equals awesomeness!

We were on our way to Target to do some Christmas shopping but this bundled up little man fell asleep so we turned around and went home. Sleeping babies are so sweet. Even if those babies aren't babies anymore! I just want to kiss those chubby lips.

Painting Christmas ornaments!

Isaac has been SO much fun lately. And cracking me up. He loves to play "knights" and battles the dragon (usually I am the dragon) but when I act ferocious and come to get him, he battles me for a second then gets a little nervous and says, "But your a nice dragon!" He also loves to play UmiZumi. Daddy's Bot. Im Milly. He's Geo and Isabel is "little Milly!" What I really like about it is this, if he doesn't want to do something I've asked him to do, I just ask him again calling him "Geo" and all of a sudden, the task is now an awesome idea! When he is in "Geo" character and talks to "Milly" and when I respond, he'll say, No, I want to talk to "Little Milly." Meaning he want's me to talk in a high pitched little voice for Isabel! 

According to Isaac:

- Me: Isaac, do you remember who was born on Christmas day? I: Yah! Me!! … (Uhhh, How about Jesus buddy)

- I: Mom? Is it Christmas Day." Me: Not yet buddy. I: Yes it is Christmas day and Santa is coming!

- "Mom, it's dark outside. SOOOOO Santa is coming.

- (Looking at Isabels bow which had a diamond stone center) "Look!! A diamond shape of America!"

- (I asked him when he went potty) "Uhhhhh, three years ago!"

- "I have a blue baby in my tummy! And He's Growing! (the last part was said VERY excitedly!! 

- He loves to sing Christmas carols. Away in a Manger is his absolute favorite. His second favorite is "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and he frequently sings the line, "God and Sinners reconciled." His third is "Angels we have heard on high." He loves the "gloria" part. It's really sweet. 

Isabel … Is amazing. Seriously such a good baby. She goes to bed at 7pm and stays asleep until 1:30 or 3am then sleeps another 3-5 hours depending on when she wakes up. If she gets up at 1-ish she gets up again around 5-ish. Will nurse and go back to bed for another 3 hours. If she gets up at 3-ish she'll nurse and usually sleep another 3 hours. See? Amazing. She is constantly eating her hands or sucking on her upper left lip! She smiles ALL. THE. TIME. And is cooing up a storm. She is SO close to laughing!
