..Confession..

Confession... I totally feel like I have failed as mother because I haven't had Atticus' pictures taken professionally. I had some done at Target when he was 7wks old had planned on getting more when he turned 6 months old but was given the big N-O. I begged and begged and begged for two days straight and still got NO for an answer. So I try to hide my guilt and lock it away, but just as soon as it begins to fade I run into someone who has the sweetest PROFESSIONAL pictures of their kids and the guilt hits me like a brick wall. Im not even kidding. I can't think too hard about it or I start to tear up. I have tried to bring Eric over from the dark side but the closest I got was his agreement to have PROFESSIONAL pictures taken when he turns 1 year old. You better believe I made him sign a contract in blood!! SO... in hopes to decrease my guilt, here are a few pictures from our "homemade" photo sessions. Not the greatest but they'll have to do! Little Rebel.. Pretty in BLUE..

I'd like to see a copy of that if I could! ;) You two are so funny.

Atticus is a little heart throb already. Blue and brown should be labeled "Atti's colors!"
I have taken TONS of photo shoots myself but have NEVER had Hallie and Audrey's pictures taken professionally. Claire's when she was a year. I will say I have gotten some cute ones and my sister has taken some...which are as good as gold. Don't sweat it. You're a fantastic mom and why the heck do we all guilt trip ourselves? I can't tell you I haven't felt the exact same things. :)

I have some ideas for another photo shoot with your little rebel!

Beautiful! I'm printing them all off and putting them in Reagan's book. We'll start her Atti crush early.

I love that you used your back gate. That's where I always make the girls stand when I want a pretty backdrop. There or the bricks. Our "nice" backdrops are very limited in our white-walled house!

Don't feel bad. Little Harry has had absolutely no pro pictures taken EVER in his life. It's SO unfair.

If it makes you feel any better our family's (and Teancum's) first professional photo shoot was on Teancum's 2nd birthday... I still get embarassed about it, but we have tons of cute pictures that we took ourselves and I know that as we progress and get to where we no longer have loan payments then professional pictures might become a luxery we can afford...Till then I get to have fun playing photographer whenever I want, a hanging sheet makes a fun backdrop...hmmmmm I'm thinking playdate photo shoot, you game?

Okay...so I can empathize with you because we had professional pics of Sydney at 3 mos. and then not until her 1 year b'day. No worries though Cindy because the pics you take day to day are so incredibly cute and capture the little blue eyes perfectly. I've come to accept the every year professional pic. So...no more guilt silly woman.

Cindy,
Your pictures look professional! All 5 million of them!!! Seriously, the ones up in Jackson by the red water thing are to die for.

OH THE GUILT! I hear ya on this one sista. But since I didn't do it with Ava, I can't favor my others by doing it, can I? Or maybe I can just get my hubby to agree to getting me the DSLR camera of my dreams? We'll see.
Love the pic with the flower. He's a little heart throb. Can't wait to see you guys again-miss you lots.

Cindy -

You are too cute! These pictures are ADORABLE - Atti is seriously one good lookin' kid! I could just stare into those beautiful blue eyes all day!! And I'm with your sis - you take TONS of cute cute pictures all the time that look professional! (i.e. the ones you just posted!) As soon as you get those one year pics done, you'll be over the 6 month-ers - I promise!:)
By the way - the Mickey Mouse hat pic of Atti on the right side of your blog looks like it is out of a magazine - I LOVE it!
No more guilt trips Missy.... I know I know - easier said than done when you're a Mom.... :)
