Paging Dr. Hansen. She cracks me up!
May 3rd
Sometimes, ya just gotta watch a little PBS naked...?!?!?
I was getting the tub started to bath the two rug rats and came out to see this.
According to Isaac:
-He tells me that when he takes his shirt off, and is just wearing his shorts, which happens frequently, that he's an Indian (I realize that's not PC, but he's four).
-He thinks running around the house nudy-booty is just the funniest thing EVER and loves it when I scream, "Ahhh! There's a naked booty in my house!"
-He tells us that he is a "Builder Master" NOT be to confused with Master Builder!!
-He is VERY in to how old people are, who was born first and why, and whose taller than who.
-He LOVES the song "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons (I HAVE to get a video of him rocking out. It's the best thing ever. We listen to is so much that even Isabel does the "breathing in the chemicals" inhale exhale part. Super cute)
-His word choices crack me up. We were playing house and he was pretending to be the daddy and said to me (the child), "Now, when I get home from work, I will certainly put you in time-out!" Certainly?? I busted up laughing. What kid says certainly?
-His cars or whatever toy(s) is his favorite of the week are always his favorite pals.
-"Dad? Are you so tired? Then why don't you listen to a bedtime song? (He begins to play the Ukulele- I'm laughing just thinking about it)!
-It was close to bedtime, when he said, "Mom! Of course you can snuggle me for a long time!"
-He has you're majesty and honesty confused. So it's, "Thank you, you're honesty!!!
-We were at church with the Fish Family for Alexis' baby blessing. It was Fast Sunday (click here). I went up to bare my testimony, and after, Leah who was by Isaac, told me that he said with much enthusiasm, "This is going to be VERY exciting! My moms going up there!"
-Constantly says to Eric and I, "So--how's your weekend?" Despite what day of the week it is.
-I told him his crying was too loud for my ears. He stopped crying then said, "Ok. Plug your ears!"
-Jason and Stacie got baby chickens for their boys for Easter, when I told Isaac that he asked me, "Mom? Is Uncle Jason a barnyard keeper?!"

It has been a very rainy spring so when we saw a bit of sunshine, we took full advantage. And truth be told, I have been VERY anxious to get the cute girl in her new swimsuit!

Colin and Reagan Playdate
Colin and Isabel just love each other. He is so sweet to her. It cracks me up to hear him baby talk to her. He can get her smiling and laughing and it of course makes Isaac super jealous, so he will usually follow up Colin's adorable cute kind thing to Isabel, with "Hey Isabel, isn't this funny (repeatedly smacks himself in the head)?" or makes some obnoxiously ridiculously loud noise. It awesome. And by awesome, I mean super annoying.
Bot fighting....
has begun. Thank you Big Hero 6 for hours of countless bot fighting fun mingled with a few real fights or two :).
The girls of course found water and jumped until their hearts were content.

She is a pill. She knows how to open the child lock drawer, so I took the pens and scissors out and put them on top of the kitchen desk. Doesn't stop her. She climbs her little way up. You can't really tell but in the above picture she is shaking her finger and me telling me, " No no no!"
Very proud of her accomplishment.
Showing me what she found in hopes to not get in trouble.
She LOVES her princesses.
Aaaaaaand, my make up.
This petite little thing carried the step-stool all the way from the guest bathroom to my bathroom (opposite ends of the house), so that she could reach the drawer, pull super-duper hard on it (the trick Isaac taught her on how to open kid locked drawers), so she could get her teeny little hands on this...
Eyeshadow. Lipstick. Blush brush...
It's really hard to discipline her when she looks this cute.
And this awesome gift came from a "Stranger Now Friend." THANK YOU.
I love that is is your actual copy of the book, and of course treasure the carved cougar. Atticus would have flipped!! Just another reminder of who good people have been and continue to be to our family. xoxoxo
Mothers Day 2015
Cute PS made my my cute sis-in-law Sarai!
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this picture. Isaac, you are one awesome kid.
And as silly as it is, his answers made me tear up. I guess Im doing okay after all.
It was a great Mothers Day. Eric made us a yummy breakfast- fancy scrambled eggs (prego craving) and pancakes. Church was of course emotional, as the primary kids sang to the Mothers. I am so proud of Isaac, he marched right up there and sang his heart out. My heart was beaming.
It's hard to balance two very different emotions, my heart was beaming with happiness and breaking for the other cute boy I should be watching sing. At the end of the kids songs, I had to step out and give myself a good cry. It is so so tough. A reminder of how grateful I am for eternal families. Aaaand a cocky four year old who, once he and daddy find me in the hall (I quickly wiped my tears) says, "Hey Mom? Didn't I do a great job?!" Confidence is not something we need to worry about with this kid! Sheesh!!

I don't know what it is with my kids and mannequins, but they are obsessed.
GIRLS TRIP
May 13-15th -- Panama City, FL
SOOO much fun. This was a perfect day. We rode beach cruisers in the morning then spent the next 4 hours at the beach. Reading. Napping. Talking. Laughing. Swimming. SO. SO. SOOO much. fun!
The next day, the rest of our crew flew in. We went to dinner and saw Pitch Perfect 2
A quick trip but SUPER FUN!
May 16th
Urban Air with the kiddo's. It was their one year anniversary so they kids got free face paintings and balloons. Isaac of course wanted to be a blue tiger because it's faster than a cheetah and played trampoline basketball for the next 1.5 hours. Isabel was being snuggly since mommy had been gone so she mostly ate fishie's and sat in my lap while we cheered Isaac on!
Isabel got a poodle balloon.
I don't know why he looks so miserable, he was super excited about it and after looking at himself in my phone, he ran his blue tiger booty to the basketball court!

Chief Isaac
War Paint and a loin cloth? What more could a child want.
He was very specific about his Tarzan/Indian outfit. I had to use mommy brain power to come up with something quick. Solution= Baby towel folded in half safety pinned. He was pleased!
Hey Grandma's, if any of you want to sew your crazy grandson a loin cloth, you would make is whole entire life worth living! Wink ;) Wink ;)
