4 weeks old....

SUNDAY October 13th
Bethy-Girl came!!

With an AWESOME sword and shield for Isaac. He was beyond excited and would say, "Shield!! Slice. Slice. Slice!"

MONDAY October 14th
"It's raining. It's pouring. The old man is snoring..."
Putting his "rainbow" boots to good use!

Every good rain storm should end in nudey-booty sandbox play!

He is somethin' else!

Izzy-Bizzy got a real bath and didn't shed a single tear! This baby bath is by far the best one I have had.

 TUESDAY October 15th
Preschool... This is a tender shirt for me. It was Atticus'. I remember telling him that "GAP" stood for: Grandma.. Atticus.. PopPop. I then told Isaac the same thing.

Looking very handsome in Isabel's bow! Nothing says business like a pink bowed ninja!

WEDNESDAY October 16th
Pumpkin Party
A very low key Halloween party with friends. He was very excited to fill the pumpkin!

I made a Pumpkin Bundt cake for the adults and, yes Im going to toot my own horn, it was really yummy. Recipe is "pinned" on my "Sweets and Treats" board on Pinterest if interested.

After looking at this picture I've decided I should never where my hair like this again :)

Painting Pumpkins!

Making footprint Franken... Collin's, Reagan's, and Isaac's! Peter decided to pass!

Practicing "Trick-or-Treating!"

Isabel is in the black "moby" wrap!

I had them go to 3 different doors in the house to get extra practice saying "trick-or-treat" and "thank you!"

Little miss thang slept through the whole thing. But looked super cute and festive! The Moby wrap has saved me.

 THURSDAY October 17th
"Western Day" at preschool.
We pick up Collin and Leslie (Collins mom) drops Isaac off. Its been working great  The boys are so funny in the car. They sing. Act crazy. And we frequently talk about red green and yellow lights!

Seriously? When did he get so big???
Isaac's having a bit of a hard time  right now and struggling with being nice to others. It breaks my heart to see him act out. I'm anxious for this phase/transition to pass. He really  is so sweet and silly!

According to Isaac:
* "I'm super cool. But your lower cool!" My 2 year old just told me I was UN-cool! I thought that didn't happen till the teenage years?!
* He LOVES the book, "How I became a pirate!"
* LOVES the movie Peter Pan
* "Hi Isabel! Can I snuggle ya?! Oh!!! I gotta go outside. Love you mom and Isabel!"
* I'm not two. I'm seven and play golf!
* (very theatrical) "The adventure of Kingdom!!"
* "I'm gonna read it to ya mom!"

We LOVE Bethy-Girl!

This is what she loves. Being snug as a bug.

FRIDAY October 18th
Getting ready for the... Pumpkin Patch
Cute kiddos!

I love her!

Isaac had SO.. MUCH..FUN..

He had an absolute ball feeding the animals. And was marching around like he owned the place. This pic is of him calling to the animals then getting nervous because them came close so he decided to chuck the food over!!

Seeing if the goats would eat sticks!

Showing off his muscles! He always makes an "Aargh" noise when showing them off!

Feeding the baby longhorn! The momma longhorn about dang near charged Bethy!

Whose crazy kids are theses?!

OH.... their ours!! Love these ladies.

Tractor hay ride... through spooky spiderwebs!

Giving the tractor driver a thumbs up! I loved watching him focus as he put that chubby little thumb up there!

It was a very fun outing!

Love to snuggle this little sweet pea!

Spooooky mask decorating!

My "fun" craft idea lasted maybe 2 minutes and he used all of two stickers :)

SATURDAY October 19th

Our traditional Saturday morning donuts and...

visit to Atticus' "special stone." And no, it wasn't freezing. Isaac just wanted his big coat. It was like 55.

A visit from this awesome family!

Sportin' his Cougar gear for their 2pm game!

Saturday was an especially big day because...
Isabel turned one month old
Loooove her!

Although still tiny, she is chunkin' up quite nicely!

She is doing much much better at night (thank heaven). She wakes up every 3 hours to nurse but  gives me a 4 hours stretch 2 or 3 times a week. Her burping has gotten faster which is so nice but she is still the spittiest little thing you ever saw. Some days I swear we are both covered in spit up all. day. long. She loves to be sung to. Especially when big brother Isaac sings his "happy face" song to her (she really does calm down for the most part!). She drum roll... is sleeping in her pack n play at night!! We are working on the days. She really just wants to be held during the day while she sleeps. She really is such a sweet baby and is getting this life thing figured out.

Jocelyn is one of the most Christ-like sweetest thing in the whole wide world. She is such an amazing friend. And has been and is, so good to our family. Way better than we deserve. We love her. She came over Saturday afternoon with a  'Nothing Bundt Cake' to celebrate Isabel's big day! Is that not the cutest thing? As I good mother, I, of course, was obligated to eat every last bite!

More coat wearing fun at Costco!

SUNDAY October 20th
Bethy had to back to Utah... tear. We loved having her. I'm sure she left exhausted. Between the three of us, we kept her pretty busy! So we are officially on our own. We have been so blessed to have so many loved ones come to help us welcome Isabel in to our family! Thank You!! XOXOXO

Doesn't she look so big?
Sunday morning snuggle.

Love her post nursing squeezy lips!

Oh... and Isaac's Halloween costume came. He is "Mike the Knight." And clearly takes his new role very seriously. Whats funny is, he's never even seen this show, just the commercial of it from watching Team UmiZumi!!

I have been meaning to tell you something fun! I noticed Isabel's adorable little birthmark on her arm. Scarlett has one very similar on one of her wrists! It was darker pink and a bit bigger when she was tiny, and is very slight now (sniff, sniff:-( ) Well we always believed, and have always told her that is her ANGEL KISS. That it was from when her Auntie Michele (my beautiful sister who went to Heaven two months before her 4th birthday because of leukemia--I was 9 months old) kissed her in Heaven just before she came to Earth. So she has always known that beautiful little mark of her angel kiss, and we always talk about how special she is.

So I was thinking how very special it was that Atticus kissed his baby sister on her arm before she came to Earth.

Seeing your little girl around Halloween time reminds me of my September baby. We stuck him in a pumpkin to take pictures. He hated it until we put warm water in the pumpkin. He sat there for an hour while we snapped away. Have fun with your little ones at Halloween!
