Thursday Feb. 23rd They were so so SO behind today. They didn't get Atticus until 10am. Thankfully he was in a goofy mood and that he was super duper funny taking Daddy's diet coke away and hiding it! When they came to get him and gave him the sedative he said, "I'm getting hard as teeth!" He woke up fast again so we were out the door pretty quick. Today's weather was BEAUTIFUL and we took full advantage of it. We kicked the ball around in the backyard. Took the will barrow down the alley looking for treasure then decided to go for a wagon ride. It is so fun having Atticus back! Speaking of having him back, we are so blessed. Like really really blessed. Joanna (the little girl diagnosed with DIPG 3 days after Atticus) is still not able to walk in fact, she is now in a wheel chair. It breaks our hearts. It breaks our hearts and makes us realize how truly blessed we are. Atticus has been given so many miracles. We all have. Thank you for all your prayers. My heart breaks for Nancy, her mommy. I can see the sadness in her eyes as she watches Atticus. She asks me, "Does he always have this energy?" "Has he always walked this well?" Which he hasn't but it's hard for her to see that. She didn't see Atticus in the beginning. Please please pray that Joanna gets some mobility back. It's crazy to think that we are coming to the end of our radiation journey. 10 more treatments. That's it. Just ten more treatments. Its has been one crazy ride. Atticus is the bravest boy I have ever known. He is amazing. I'm the luckiest person to be his mom. We have had great day after great day after great day and I love it!

Radiation Day 20
Wood working with Daddy.
Brotherly love.
Chunks new favorite toy. He thinks he's pretty big stuff.
Why is it babies have to eat everything!!
Enjoying the BEAUTIFUL day.
Yes Texas summers get HOT but you sure can't beat an 80 degree February day!!
"Gooooooooooo Cougars!" Atticus got ANOTHER AWESOME package. This time it was from the BYU basketball team. His exact words were, "Oh. My. Goodness! We have to call daddy!"
In addition to the signed basketball and poster, he got a BB shirt and signed basketball cards!
He also got a package from a stranger that is now a friend (that's what we like to call you loved ones that we have never met!). He was very excited about his neck pillow! Thank you!!

I saw your blog on my friend's blog and was just "blog surfing" because I couldn't sleep. Now almost hours into my reading, I'm just in a trance and wish there was something I could do. Today's beautiful weather was a great blessing and I'm so happy you all got to enjoy it! Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers tonight. And will be from now on. Bless that beautiful boy's heart. He's so precious. Thank you for being strong, wonderful, loving people.
I hope you don't mind that strangers comment on your blog, but I have been following ever since Atticus was diagnosed. Our family prays for yours every night. I love the picture of Atticus holding onto his Daddy's arm. That is the sweetest picture and the chubbiness is just adorable, I want to squeeze those cheeks! Your family is always in my thoughts and I admire you for your faith and strength throughout all of this. It is amazing how you are looking for the blessings in your life everyday when you could just be focused on all the hard things you go through.
RIse and Shout the Cougars are out! Could Atti tell his friends that he has a grandpa buddy in Lebanon who wants a basket ball. We love you Cindy girl! I can see definite improvement in Atticus. Hang on honey. Better days are close by!
We continue to pray to our Father in Heaven for the Blessings you need. And "He" will continue be with you.
I love those Cougars! I love that they're sending out care packages to sweet Atticus.
I am also so very glad to hear that you're getting help, Cindy. It's so important that you're taking care of yourself during this hard time. You are so right. The better you take care of you, the better mom/wife/caregiver you can be to those sweet boys of yours.
By the way, I just want to eat Chunk up! He's delightful!
I saw your blog from a friend of a friend and have been checking in to see how Atticus is doing. He and your family have been in my prayers and I'm so happy to read that he is doing better and that you had a wonderful day. He will continue to be in my prayers! I can not imagine what you are going through, but I pray that Heavenly Father will continue to bless you with peace and happiness during this difficult time. Your children are adorable!
Hooray for this crazy wonderful Texas weather!! So glad you were able to enjoy it with your sweet boys!
These photos are priceless! I love the woodworking ones so much!
Yay for those Cougs sending such fun stuff, too!
Love you guys.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop! :)
