Hansen Christmas Vacation...

Our first morning in Utah we woke up to SNOW and Atticus was SO excited. So, at 8am we bundled up and played. First thing on the agenda... SNOW ANGEL. He was SO excited to make a snow angel and had been talking about it for weeks. I love that with us living in TX snow will always be an exciting thing!

Grandpa and Grandma Romera had a very fun Christmas party. Atticus loves his cousins. They ran around like crazy kids! Later we were accompanied by Jay on the piano. While singing Jingle Bells we had a surprise visit from SANTA! Atticus is so funny with Santa. Once He was inside all the kids ran up to him but Atticus. He backed away and said to me, "Mom Santa is here but I don't want to visit him!" I was able to concince him to sit BY Santa on my lap and he actually smiled.

We took the kids to the Grand America Hotel the see their Christmas windows. They had a ABC word search with a prize at the end. The added bonus that we all loved... they had candy dishes along the way you could help yourself to! Atticus' favorite was the jars of sixlets! Oh... and the prize at the end: the best tasting short bread cookie in history!

After with windows we took Trax to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for some yummy and much needed hot chocolate!

Atticus played and played and played. We loved being with all the cousins. He loves Ryann & Jaxson, LOVES grandpa's dog Oakley (they were playing chase and he got a little hot- hence the not shirt look), Jay & Atticus played superman, stinker-bug Charlie getting in to trouble, Jay & Atticus playing Grandma Shawna's "trumpets!"

The Heber Creeper "North Pole Express." Grandpa and Grandma Hansen bought tickets for all the cousins to go but poor Parker, Emmie, and parents came down with the flu. So it was just us. He was VERY excited to give the conductor his ticket and board the train. We sang Christmas carols- (grandpa bought him is very own jingle bell and he was very dilligent in his ringing). Had Mrs. Clause' secret cookies and hot chocolate, and had a visit from Mr. Clause himself! It was a lot of fun. Thanks G & G Hansen.

The Hansen Family Christmas Eve party... Yummy food ranging from Danish to Mexican to Ukranian, and all of it was soo good. A talent show; Atticus sang "Jingle Bells". And a special visit from Santa's accordian playing elves...

Explanation of the below picture... As mentioned we had a talent show. After the GREAT grandparents shared Christmas stories of their childhood, Grandpa Lance was telling us a story when across the room Atticus comes running yelling, "Mom! This present is for me!! It has an 'A' for Atticus. Can I open it!" We all started laughing. That little stinker-bug had snuck downstairs!
Aunt Bethany made an "elf yourself" video and the pictures she chose cracked us up. I laughed so hard I cried. Atticus thought it was pretty funny too! I absolutely LOVE the picture she chose for him. It still makes me laugh!

The annual "Candy Bar Game." It was loud, crazy, and lots of fun. Eric put a few twists on it this year which made it even more fun. Atticus was the big winner of (drum roll please)... the self inflating whoopy cusion! That little boy- as well as the big boys, laughed their heads off!

Christmas was SO much fun. Atticus totally got it and was so excited for Santa to come. To our surprise he didn't wake up until 7:30am which was soo nice. While waking everyone one up he said, "It's time for Merry Christmas everyone!" He was very VERY anxious to see what Santa had brought and people just weren't getting ready fast enough. He kept trying to sneak a peak and told me, "Mom. I won't go downstairs. Im just going to look!!"
The many Christmas faces of Atticus! He had the best expressions opening gifts and was very vocal about his excitement.. saying, "Wooooow!" or "It's so cool!" and "It's my very own!"
Every time someone asked Atticus what he wanted Santa to bring him he said a scooter... Santa delivered big time! While opening gifts I found Atticus trying to carry his scooter upstairs to ride it outside!!

Christmas at Grandma Lori's... We had the yummiest dinner: Tempura, rice, and teriyaki meatballs! It was so fun to chit chat with my siblings. Grandma Lori got all three boys a sword and oh my goodness was it a hit. In the top left picture, Jay and Atticus are discussing what types of things their swords can battle!

Another Birthday Bash... He is one loved and spoiled 3 year old! He was so excited about his presents and had to put on his Lightning McQueen jams and get out his BIG Mac Truck right that second. I can't decide if I love or hate Disney for creating CARS...!
