Waaaaaay back in September/October Eric's parents rented a beach house in Newport Beach, California. We went to Disneyland 3 times, played at the beach and had the best time.
I have been meaning to blog about our trip for months now but it was hard to choose what pictures and to get them all in order so I gave up. So... with no particular order here are the pictures of our SUPER FUN - SUPER BUSY - NEVER A DULL MOMENT vacation!!
DISNEYLAND
Side note... you have not experienced Disneyland until you have gone to Disneyland with the Hansen Family! They are pro's and you are guaranteed a great time in their company!
Atticus was in HEAVEN. Buzz was the #1 one guy we wanted to see.
Autopia Dumbo and the Carosel were his favorite rides. He loved that you got your very own driver's license on Autopia and while driving he belted it, "Life is a Highway" and giggled and laughed the entire time. We took him on Pirates of the Caribbean.. the ride not a fan of, but he loved being a pirate and singing the song!
My favorite quote of Atticus' from our trip was, "What rides next guys!"
While the Daddy's were at the Priesthood session of conference the girls + Atticus went to Disneyland for another round of his favorite rides and favorite treats (he called churro's "sugar sticks" and ate many). We watched part of a parade went on Small World and He tried his first "roller-coaster" thanks to Aunt Bethy (pregnant people can go on pretty much nothin'). I was very surprised he went although once getting off he decided it was too scary and did not want to go again.
I have been known to go a little camera crazy so believe it or not, I really tried to tone it down and of course as soon as got home wished I had taken more. Not one family picture. There's always next time right?
THE BEACH...
Our first day at the beach was AMAZING. There is just something about the beach that instantly puts you in a good mood and in vacation mode! The waves were HUGE! Atticus loved running from them with his aunts and uncles and ran around in the sand like a crazy man. 
Grandma Hansen had a cute beach bucket full of goodies for him! He played baseball on the beach with Pop-pop, chased the birds with the baseball bat, and dug and rolled around in the sand! He was a big BIG fan of the beach. I almost dare say more than Disneyland.

Zachy-Boy buried in the sand. Daddy got the brilliant idea of putting chips on top of Zachy-boy to see if and how close the birds would come. Ohh, they came... a little too close!

I can't remember the name of it but we went to a National Park and explored. Although overcast, it was really cool! Earlier that day we went to a Sand castle building competition that was awesome. People can build some crazy stuff! Thomas the Tank Engine was our favorite.

Hats off to an amazing vacation! The beach bug has definitely been planted in our little boy.
