This little girl is loved by all...
But especially by her big brother.
Lily was keeping us very entertained with all her crazy faces!
For New Years Day we brought a little of Eric's Russian heritage into the house. He made Borscht (Russian soup), Potato Pancakes (yes Grandpa Lonczyna, he grated the potatoes by hand), and Pelmini. I made Pierogi's. It was a day full of cooking but so so yummy and lots of fun!
Isabel is such a girly girl. She even sits like a girl. Toes pointed. Chin on hand!
January 2nd
Isabel helped herself to Lily's jumper!
Daddy and Isaac skateboarding!
We may be old be we are still crazy cool ;)
This silly boy...
January 3rd
Sunday... Yikes! Lily had a blowout during sacrament meeting and I literally had NOTHING to put her in. I remembered everything BUT a change of clothes. So I got to walk out with her in arms covered (blanket and all) in awesome yellow mess. And we of course were sitting in the front so the whole congregation now knows of Lily's regularity!
So once I cleaned her up... we decided it best to head home!
Prince Isaac and Princess Isabel!
Dancing the night away!
January 4th
Oh this baby! How I love her.
January 5th
My blondies. Atticus thus far, is the only one that kept a little red tint to his hair.
Lily is the cutest little pill. She goes 0-60 in a flash. One second she is happy as a clam. All smiles and coo's then the next....
Totally hysteria! She makes the cutest cry faces.
Isabel... jewelry. princesses. singing a song.. that about sums her up!
January 6th
Tiny little snuggle bug!
I love her dainty chin!
January 7th
Sleeping babies are THE best. They are just so sweet and kissy!
She, like her sister, has clogged tear ducts which means she has red watering eyes all the time :(. Thankfully we found some drops that are actually working.
Making a quick return to Charming Charlie and the kids took it upon themselves to entertain the shoppers!
My 80's child! Scrunchie and all!!
January 8th
This is Lily's favorite thing to do...
Laying down and talking to me.. We have some VERY good conversations. She seriously loves to lay where she can see me while I change her pants, fold laundry... She has lots and lots to say!
Eric dislikes that our kids suck their thumbs and I can understand why (he's so worried Isaac will get made fun of when he gets to elementary school), but I think it is the cutest thing. This picture makes me miss Isabel's long hair...
January 9th
Isaac decided he wanted a buzz so he could, "Be like daddy in law school!"
Clearly, he felt pretty darn cool!
He was beyond happy with the outcome!
Man I love him.
He wouldn't let me wash his hair in the bath for fear it would mess up his haircut.
January 10th
Another Sunday... this time I was prepared:)
They are getting so big!
This girl... Just like her brothers. Expressive. Cute. And Crazy!!
She has some looks the make us laugh and some looks that could kill. For real. She has a mean mean stink eye! Can't wait for her teenage years...
Lashes like her daddy's. Thick and long. Eric, when he was younger, would cut his eyelashes because he hated all the attention it got him and he hated that they would hit his sunglasses. Why do boys get the long lashes?
January 12th
Playing hide-and-seek. She's really good at it!!!
All our kids look alike and they all look like Eric in the beginning. As Atticus got older and as Isabel is getting older they are looking more like me. Isaac is an absolute mini-Eric but Miss Lily... she is a mystery to us. She looks more like Isaac then Atticus or Isabel but she has her own look too. It's been fun to watch her grown and change.
She was walking around the house yelling, "Boppity-Boo. Boppity-Boo" smacking everything in sight with her wand. Apparently her version of Cinderella has sass!
She got a black eye from nursery- she was running to see if I was at the door, tripped and hit her eye on the table. It was so sad.
January 13th
Big. Huge. SIGH... As my awesome and fellow angel mom says, "D Day can kiss it." And she is absolutely right. 4 years ago, Atticus was Diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. I spent the day sick to my stomach having mental wars inside my head, "I can do this. I'm going to be okay." to "I can't do this. I can't be without him. I hate this. I hate that he went through it. I hate that he's gone." back to, "I can do this. I can get through this." It's exhausting. Mentally and physically exhausting.
His first day of radiation. Man I love that crooked smile and googly eye of his.
He is the bravest boy I will ever every know.
I love you sweet heart. I can't think too much about it or I fall a part. I'm so proud of you Atti. I really am. I miss you so much. More than a mom should miss anything. xoxoxo
As luck would have it, Lily had her 2 month appointment with Dr. Straughn that morning. So the entire drive to the doctors office, which is in the same Hospital/Office building where Atticus was treated, I played my mental battle game fighting the tears.
SO.... while we were waiting for Dr. Straughn to come in I could feel the pressure of a meltdown coming and I was fighting it as hard as I possibly could. Then sweet Dr. Straughn walks in and says his ever consistent greeting, "Hey guys! What's going on?!" And I burst in to tears. I told him that today makes 4 years from Atticus' diagnosis and that it is so hard. That I was so tired. So tired of having to to try so hard to carry on. That it's so unfair. Atticus was so little and that I miss him.
I look up, and sweet sweet Dr. Straughn is crying too. His eyes red puffy and water filled just like mine. We sat and cried/talked together then once I regained control we got to talk about this TINY sweet little pea!!

The kids love having the trampoline. (Don't worry, the grass will grow).
Atticus got this playground when he was first diagnosed from family and Isaac and Isabel have put it to good use! We are out there all the time.
Play date with Qualls boys.
January 20th
Some days, I seriously want to reconsider my position as full time caregiver. HOLY COW. This girl is in the midst of the "terrible two's" and she is doing it very well.

I've missed reading your posts, and hope everything is well with you. I'm one of your biggest fans, altho I don't comment often.
You are a GREAT mom and I so admire all you've done and continue to work through. I'm a grandma to 9 (8 living) so I am a well-qualified judge of mothering.
You have more people praying for you than you know.
I miss reading about you and your family,
Hopefully all is well!
Glad to see I'm not the only one stalking your blog for an update. Hope you are doing well!
I'm just checking in & saying hello. Miss seeing your posts but sure you are a tad busy! Always thinking of you & your family. And, glad I'm not the only one missing you & saying hi!
