February

February 19th
Oh Sissy--I just adore you.

Dragons protecting the Preschool fortress!!
You can't see under those dragons suites, but it was pajama day at school!!

"Please Mr. Postman, look and see, if there's a letter in your bag for me!"
A big huge THANK YOU to Colin and Reagan's Nana, Jeanette, for the adorable mail bag and letters!!
Each drawer was a mailbox!

Just doing a little work before dinner!!

February 20th
Date night with two of my favorite men. We left Sissy-girl with a sitter and took Isaac to see the Penguins of Madagascar. Super funny!! He insisted on wearing his crown from preschool. He wanted to be a king. I assumed he would just wear it in the car and when we got to the movie theater asked him if he wanted to leave it in the van... nope. He wanted to be a king. And King Isaac wore it the ENTIRE movie!!

February 21st
I was doing a bit of Saturday cleaning and had to kiss this cute boys lips before I shined the glass.

Saturday night our church had a family dance. 50's Sock Hop style. Jeanette/Nana came to our rescue and made Isabel this ADORABLE outfit.

Doesn't she look so stinkin' cute?! Pudgy tummy and all!!

Friends and Dance Partners!!
Isabel was cracking everyone up. She was shaken' her thing and danced from the second we walked in the door to the second we walked out. She does the cutest little shoulder shrug arm turn thing, spins in circles and raises the roof! She LOVES to dance.

Daddy Daughter Dance.

Isaac had some pretty good dance moves himself!! Part Ninja. Part crazy man. Part booty shaking. All crazy awesome.

February 22nd
Sacrament entertainment... STICKERS. And despite the look on his face, he was very happy and very entertained. Thanks Mimi for sending me this picture!!

He's getting so big.

According to Isaac:
1. His birthday questionnaire
Favorite Color: Blue
Favorite Animal: Tiger
Favorite Sport: Basketball
Favorite Book: Dragons love Tacos
Favorite Food: Rice
Favorite Treat: Kit-Kat
Favorite Toy: Guns/Blasters
2. "Mom, I have four names: Isaac Hinckley Hansen SOLDIER!"
3. "Dad, when I'm bigger than you, I will marry mom in the temple!" He tells me he wants to marry in the Temple a lot lately!!
4. "I'm just tired from the baseball game dad and I went to last year!"
5. We were reading stories and I told him that this particular book was one of Atticus' favorites. He got the biggest smile on his face and said, "Hey mom! I have an idea! Let's send the book to Atticus. I'll go put it in the mail box. But we need glitter!" (I told him that we needed put "special glitter" on Santa's letter in order for it to get to him). MELT. MY. HEART.

Sunday dinner with the Griners.

Lincoln giving Isabel a lift!

Isabel trying to sneak a few bites of Jackson's dessert.
We left the Griners in pouring rain with a forecast of freezing rain to come.

February 23rd
And low and behold, we woke up to a sheet of frozen rain on our porch and everywhere else.

Frozen windows.

Frozen driveway.

Frozen trampoline.

Frozen happy bundled up boy.

He asked if he could go swimming in the trampoline hole!

"I'm too cold. Let's go inside."

No lie, Isabel insisted on wearing her poodle skirt all afternoon and wanted to help me vacuum. Poor little thing couldn't movie and single inch!

February 25th
Jenny sent this book to Isaac, "A parody for the next generation."
Super funny.... And true :(

Isabel, truly has the smallest feet. These darling cowgirl boots from Grandma Lori. The are size 6-9 months. She will be 18 months next month.

PS- They're still too big.

We got to play with Colin and Reagan at good old McD's then went to check on "Atticus' Special Spot." It did my heart good to see them playing and laughing and jumping. I love you sweet boy.

February 26th
The crazy weather just keeps coming (I love it!!)
At the top of his lungs, Isaac said, "The whole city is covered with snow!"

It's kind of crazy to think how, Eric and I grew up with snow. Tubing. Skiing. Sledding parties. Huge snowstorms (I remember one year, they canceled church and asked for everyone to help shovel snow off neighbors roofs). But my kids, all three, are born and raised Texans, so this snow thing, is a BIG deal!!

Apparently, so is the dryer! What is it with my kids and their obsession with getting inside the dryer?

March 1st
Isaac got to say the prayer and read the scripture at church in primary (Sunday school for children under 12. Cute lesson and singing time). He was SO excited.

He felt like pretty big stuff sitting yup at the front!

This boy melts my heart (most of the time)!

He did SUCH a great job. He said every word and was so confident about it!

He's a natural at public speaking, just like his daddy.

I was such a proud mommy. Atticus had the opportunity to give a talk in primary one time. It however, did not go as smoothly. He stood up at the podium but I had to give the talk for him. That is one big difference between them. Isaac is ALL about public attention/speaking/singing...

Isabel was more the an happy to be a seat filler while big brother did his thing!

I realize that taking pictures in church isn't the best thing to be doing, and I promise, I typically only use my phone for scriptures, if I even bring it to church, but today I couldn't resist snapping a few cute pics of Isabel while we were in Relief Society (Relief Society is a Sunday school class for women over 18 years old. It prepares women for the blessings of eternal life by helping them increase their faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and helps those in need.)

She looked so cute in her orange and blue dress from Auntie Jenny. It's so fun to watch her become more and more girly. She was wiping Minnie's nose and painting her nails!

That's a wrap folks. February is in the books!!
