Let's play ball...

Atticus had his first Tball game on Thursday! We signed him up a little late so his first time was a game day! He was SO pumped and SO excited and loved his new baseball gear. He kept hitting his fist in his glove saying, "Mom, when is it game time?!"

This is a picture of his "serious walk," hands clenched and each step with determination!! Let's play ball. It was at least 90 degrees and a good twenty minutest before the game started but he did not want to take off his helmet!

Warming up with the team. They are the LONGHORNS.

Before their turn to bat, they get to stand in the circle and practice their swing.

In case you were wondering... Tball is not fun. Tball is serious. Atticus took this very seriously. If the coach said stand here, he stood there with such dedication. If the coach said practice your swing, he swung for his life. It was so cute and SO Atticus.

He hits the ball and runs. Runs like he's on fire. He booked it.... TO 3rd BASE! Then PAST 3rd base and kept running... The crowd was dying with laughter. It was the cutest thing EVER. (I love this picture- he's such a runner!)

So, he turned around and booked it to home plate...
I'd say his first time was a BIG success!!
As you can imagine, he was one very thirsty boy after that and went through two water bottles! I love my Atticus.

That is so stinking cute! I love how seriously Atti takes his sports. I am bawling my eyes out right now cause I'm so mad and sad I wasn't there for his first game. I can't believe he did so awesome, wait a minute, of course he did, it's Atticus. Love you guys.
