Updates on the Boys

Sweet baby Isaac...
He's really good at eating, sleeping, and getting the hiccups.

Baby Isaac Atticus and Grandma Lori. My mom has been absolutely amazing to have around. She gets up with Atticus every morning (which is a big deal- the kids gets up between 6 and 6:30) and lets me sleep in with Isaac. It has been wonderful. Atticus has been kept entertained and when I'm willing to share, she holds baby Isaac.

My silly silly 3 year old. He has been begging me to make him a swimming pool so we compromised with a swimming pool for his cars... so I thought. Next thing you know, he is dipping his hands, feet, and HEAD in the "car pools" and tried all sorts of positions to get his tummy in. This boy cracks me up.

Atticus: For the most part Atticus is handling the transition well. He loves Isaac- which is the most important so I really can't complain. BUT... He's been pretty sassy and has had some major good meltdowns (which he has never had before- I'm talking like kicking screaming) and does not want to leave me- not for church- not for preschool- not for play dates- not for anything. But today (Sunday) has been almost a "regular Atticus" day which I am so grateful for. No mom likes to see their child have a hard time and act in ways they normally don't. He's not a perfect kid but typically is such a sweet boy. So this is really hard on me. I'm praying for patience and for this "transition" to pass quickly.

Daddy and his boys

Atticus had cut out (w/help) a snake for brother and put it right by him!

Our two cute boys doing what they do best--

One busy busy. One sleepy sleepy.

The FIRST time Atticus got to hold Isaac.

I love love love this picture.... He was busting at the seams!

Atticus was SOO excited to hold Isaac. It was the sweetest thing. He had the biggest grin on his face and kept saying, "Look! I'm holding my brother!" He has been asking to hold Isaac since the day we got home. Almost every day he would "sniff" his nose to see if it sounded clear and if he was all better- minus a dry cough he's in the clear!

Progress on the house...

Saturday we all drove out to check out the house... the retaining wall is built, plumbing put in and their almost ready to lay the foundation! Atticus is going to love having an empty lot next door to us. He could have stayed there all afternoon playing cars in the dirt.

Baby Isaac was asleep in the car seat. I promise we weren't neglecting him. Atticus checked on him all on his own twice!!

Atticus appears to already love being a BIG brother. Hope the transition is a smooth one for all of you. And congrats on building a new home too. Look forward to more pics of Isaac as he grows. Miss your family. Take care.

Ok a few things Cindy, first you look amazing standing in front of our house to be. You can't even tell you just had a bady you stinker. 2nd, the transition will get easier. I know you've heard that before, but it seriously will. Elliot turned into a bit of monster, but eventually I got my sweet boy back all the way. :) Sending you lots of love and hoping you get lots of rest.
