Night-Night Atticus

So to fix our "refusal-of-sleep" issue, thanks to Grandma Hansen, we purchased a book entilted, "Sleep Sense." It has saved our lives! Yes the first couple of nights were hard on the heart but it was totally worth it for everyone involved! It was actually the first "program" I truly comfortable with and fully recommend it. We now have a nightly-routine that starts at 6:30pm and ends with him in his crib awake with what we call "sleepy-eyes" around 7pm and he is sound asleep shortly after- and for the most part minimal to no crying! A few wiggles and whines until he finds his little sleeping position and its off to dream-land! The wonderful thing is, is that he stays asleep, like for 6 or 7 hours straight (not every night is that perfect-but close enough)!

Part of the nightly-routine is story time with Daddy! Here are a couple of cute shots with Eric and Atticus! The two loves of my life!

Atticus thinking, "Daddy sure tells a good story!"
Eric does such a great job animating. He so tender with Atticus.

..Good Morning Atticus..

As mentioned before, Atticus is one happy little guy in the morning. Its when he talks the most and has the most smiles. I absolutely love it. Plus, he is extra snuggly!

I am SO HAPPY for you. I'll have to read the book, I hadn't heard of that one. I am so glad that the "sleepless nights" are at an end. I couldn't be happier for you. YEAH!
Isn't it amazing that they will go to bed that early?Claire and Hallie were both 6:00 sleepers. Evenings take on a whole new meaning.
I love that Eric reads to Atti. That is so cute!

Great pictures! Way to go you guys, you should be very proud of yourselves!

Here's a tip, have Eric read Atti one of his text books, that'll have him snoozing in no time!
